Larry Blevins, PA is the founder and CEO of Village Institute of Plastic Surgery. He graduated PA school from the University of Nebraska and then spent 5 years in family medicine and 2 years in dermatology. He has spent the past 15 years perfecting his art in General and Plastic Surgery, putting his focus on the cosmetic and aesthetic side of plastics. Larry started out as a medic in the US Army in the early 90’s eventually retiring as a Captain while serving as a battalion medical officer for the 101st Airborne.
He deployed multiple times to war zones and during his last deployment was with a forward surgical team in Ibn Sina Hospital located in the heart of Baghdad. It’s considered the busiest trauma center in the world. They saw a large number of IED and mosque bombing victims and through this experience, he developed a passion for scar rejuvenation and wound healing. He soon became an expert in callogenesis, neo-callogenesis and understanding how fibroblasts work, as well as the cascade of wound healing and skin rejuvenation. Through the years Larry has built a large cosmetic practice focusing on lasers, cosmetic injectables and minimally invasive procedures.
He has teamed up with two talented double board-certified plastic surgeons to offer the best of all avenues in plastic surgery to his patients. Village Institute of Plastic Surgery is designated as a Center of Excellence and Teaching Facility by Merz Aesthetics and Prollenium Medical. He was named Top Cosmetic injector by Merz Aesthetics in 2018 and became a National Certified Trainer. Larry is also a Key Opinion Leader and cosmetic Injection Trainer for Prollenium Medical and a National GAIN trainer for Galderma. He is a Fellow of ASLMS (American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery) and a Luminary Speaker and Educator for Cutera.
